Diva on a Dime will take the everyday woman and transform her from Plain Jane to Penny Princess. In a fun filled, action packed, calorie reduced half hour, our two hosts - “A” list style gurus Sara Lynn Cauchon and Adrian Mainella - will shop till they drop to bring back the bargains. All this to help our weekly participants realize their goal of looking like a million for about the cost of a cup of coffee… Ok, maybe a few vente double foam chai lattes, but you get the point!
Each episode opens with a challenge; our weekly participant has a special event or occasion in the near future and they want to make a grand entrance. The problem; they might get mistaken for the cleaning staff when they walk in. Enter our hosts, experts in the field of fabulous! They will assess the current state of the participants' wardrobe, makeup and hair, get a feel for her lifestyle and desires, then brainstorm a new high-end look that will elevate her from glum to glam. With a “style bible” in hand, our trio hits the road to make discount dreams come true. Consignment shops, vintage stores and warehouse sales are only some of the many places our hosts will go in search of the right look… for less of course. Diva’s hosts get the best advice from a weekly line up of fashion experts and round out their tour of couture with finishing touches in the form of cost-conscious cosmetics, half-priced hairstyles and affordable accessories. The ensemble has been assembled and hosts Sara and Adrian wait with baited breath for the big reveal. Our participant pulls her new look together and we are dazzled by the difference! A comparison of the original high-end inspiration with the inexpensive alternative adds to the emotional and financial reward. Our Diva On A Dime finally makes a splashy entrance at her special event – amazing her friends, and teaching us that you don’t need a big bank account to look beautiful.
